Beloved husband of Vivian Calis; father of Maureen Coleman and husband Timothy, James Calis and wife Elly, and Mark Calis and wife Kathleen; grandfather of Christopher, Andrew, Emma, Claire and Sebastian; brother of Sylvia Palmer and Raphael Calis. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew Church, 6900 River Road, Bethesda, MD, on Saturday, August 18 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Time passes quickly! However at a special point in time all previous events come up in a slide show. Alphonse, Vivian and family were our neighbours in Mountazah. All I have is good memories. May his soul rest in peace, while all of you take over from him and move to better and happier days ahead.

Dear Kathleen and Mark, We're given many gifts as we go through life. Some we're allowed to enjoy for a long time, others only briefly. But each gift has the power to change us, enrich us, to make us better people. In your sadness, may there also be joy that you had such a person to love. I remember meeting your dad when we visited the shop and he was a delight. I'm sure you have so many happy memories of your times together.
