AMIR ALI, JR.
Suddenly on July 31, 2014, devoted husband of Tekita Ali; loving father of Amar Ali, III, Tiera and Zoey Ali; son of Amir Ali, Sr. and the late Patricia Hawthorne. He is also survived by seven brothers, four sisters, a host of other relatives and friends. Service will be held on Friday, August 8 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 920 11th St., NE. Visitation, 10:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Services by FREEMAN.

In this moment of sadness I can't help but wonder why the world is filled with such madness. To be able to rewound this I would be taking an angel glowing now around us. So instead I pray for peace within your soul, that the world would see that your heart was made of gold. That your loved ones would never forget your motives that unfold. To see smiles and upbeat lifted souls was your true and purest hope for those. Your daughters and your son. Your brother and wife. I will never forget the nights where you welcomed all with such delight. From birthdays and celebrations you were the number one topping of inspiration. I never thanked you, but from the bottom of my heart your soul touched me. Your welcoming arms embraced me and your love was really felt. Having lost my father when I was young, it truly brought my joy to be around you ti and zoey. That is something that will stick with me forever. And I am forever grateful. You will live on forever!!

To Emir and family. Words cannot express how I felt when I heard the news of Amir's passing. My heart and prays are with you and your family during this diffult time in your life. Having recently lost my sister in April, I can truly say that with each passing day it will get a little easier. The pain will never completely go away but the good memories you shared with him will sustains you in the days to come. You both were my boys when we worked together in DFAS and I will always remember you guys as A & E.
