I met Amy while working for Jay the past 25 years. After years of upgraded technology, I didn´t get to talk to her as often, but what I do know is that she was an extremely smart, kind soul and I could hear her smile through the phone. She was a bright light in her family, and I was so sad to hear of her passing. She will be truly missed by everyone that knew her. My condolences to Jay, his children and his family.

Since first meeting Amy at the 2024 Bethesda Magazine Women Who Inspire event, we remained in touch, and I am deeply saddened to learn of her passing. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Amy was among the most gifted and compassionate journalists I have ever known, and she will be greatly missed.

Amy shined like the brightest star. My "first" niece was a joy to behold, a true gift to our family.
Always a defender of truth and justice. GOD gave her a soul and spirit that fought for those that couldn't.
I will miss her smile, her laugh at my dry humor and most of all her call" uncle Lance, time to carve the turkey" on Thanksgiving.
My world and that of her aunt Mona has become less bright with her passing.

Amy and I grew up next door to each other and I remember walking to Cold Spring Elementary together everyday. I will always cherish the memories I have of Amy in high school and college. She was a wonderful friend and I will miss her.

To all Amy´s family,
We remember Amy today as a beautiful girl & woman . Wonderful wife & mother full of wonderful spirit & ideas. A good sister to Liz & Adam & wonderful daughter to Paula & Steve. We remember the time when the family came to Rehoboth Beach & we all enjoyed hanging out together such a great family to be with. Our son Craig met Adam & we became fast friends with the Lipsius family. Amy married Jay & had a beautiful wedding in Washington,DC.
Our family celebrated the birth of all the children with everyone fond memories.

This is one of those times when one finds it extremely difficult to find the words...
Needless to say, nobody who knew Amy at any level, is ever going to be the same without her.
Amy was a warm-hearted, kind, generous, gracious, selfless and beautiful lady.
For the past five or so years (not counting the COVID intermission), her family has hosted ours for each Thanksgiving, with Amy consistently managing her role as a hostess with the sort of fluidity which made it easy to forget just how much time and effort it took to put everything together.
Our family is praying for Amy´s family, both immediate and extended, and sending so much love and gratitude your way.
May Amy´s memory be a huge blessing to all of us, and her legacy be filled with the same love, generosity, humanity and selflessness which defined her in life.

Amy was a person who will be missed by her family and all that knew her. Having known Amy since she was four ( her Uncle Jay since birth) our hearts are broken. We saw her as an amazing child, compassionate young adult and extraordinary wife and mother. It is difficult to imagine the world without Amy in it, but we will hold close all who Amy cherished and help them in any and every way. She lived her life with strength and honor. With love, Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jay.
