We read of Mr. Makris's passing last week in the newspaper and were saddened that he is no longer with us.
We knew he was a composer but did not know the extent of his compositions and his talent. It is clear he was not only a genius but a very humble man.
I recall that he was always such a gentleman when he was active on the Condo Board in the early Nineties. He will be sorely missed but his music will live on as a lasting tribute to a most gifted human being.
We extend our condolences to Mrs. Makris and all the family. We hope you will find comfort in the wonderful music and memories that he left for you.
