Dr. Taylor was a brilliant educator and a caring individual. He truly made a difference in my life and those of my peers, while at UDC. He challenged his students to reach beyond their comfort zones and to avail themselves of all the good this life has to offer. I was saddened to hear of his passing. His legacy will live on in the lives of many who had the privilege of passing his way.

Dr. Taylor inspired us all to be scholars. His genius as an educator is unparralled, and his lessons live on through those whom he taught. I am honored to have known him and learned from him. I will miss his brilliant mind, his quick wit and quiet humor.
To the family, I extend my sincerest sympathy.

Dr. Taylor was a brilliant and caring man. He sought to help and did help many persons throughout his wonderful career. What a novelty: a "caring", politically astute, fearless advocate who was also a wonderful teacher and scholar!

Dear Eileen and Family,
Andress Taylor was an unsung hero, one of the great mental giants of our era. As a professor at UDC, He mentored many of the men and women who are making their mark in the world today. He gave of himself, unstintingly, to their development and was always available to give guidance whenever needed. He will be cherished and remembered with great love.
While being without him will not be easy, you and the family can be proud of the legacy which lives on through others he helped along the way.
May God's peace and grace sustain you during the coming weeks and months. May you find joy in the midst of sorrow. For God said in everything give thanks: thanks for the shared love and thanks that Andress is now at rest in the Savior's arms.
We pray the glory of the Lord surround you and your family to keep you steadfast through this difficult time.

Eileen and Family,
It is difficult to find words rich enough to relay how sad I am to hear that Andress--one of the world's great mentors, teachers, and friend--has left us. I offer my sincere love and sympathy, and I ask God to Bless and Comfort you.
Thank you for allowing me to share his great gift of giving, his keen ability to look deeper into each of us than we would ever think doing ourselves. He helped us find out how to find things--certainly beauty and the truth, which was not always so beautiful. He knew, however, that we needed to see it anyway. We looked, we saw,we learned. We are better because of him. While I will miss him, he will never be far away. His wonderful presence will endure in my heart and in the work I will continue to do in his honor.
Love,
Marlene
