Andrew David Dorfmann "Andy" (Age 63)
Suddenly passed on Monday, December 9, 2019. Beloved husband of Pamela Broomall with 21 wonderful years together; father of Jesse Shaw (Melanie), Brandon Shaw, Rebecca Dorfmann, Jayme Dorfmann and James Koubek; brother of Betsy Hirschel (Ron) and Tracey Dorfmann (Mitch Polun); grandfather of Lilliana Mills, Charlotte Mills and Addison Shaw. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends come honor Andy on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Photogroup Inc. Check website for directions at www.dcstudiorental.com from 11 to 11:30 a.m. gathering, 11:30 to 12 noon service, food and drink after. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to resolve.org/DorfmannMemorial.

andy was my very first friend we were born two days apart, and our parents lived a few doors away from each other, in silver spring.
the foto attached is what i found in my email in-box from an audiophile journalist, the day after andy passed. it struck me because we both had this serious audiophile affliction, among other things. and typically audiophile journalists publish their audio show write-ups the same day of the show; for some reason this guy was several weeks late in sending his out. he actually sent it out late in the evening of the day of andy's passing.
andy was taken way too soon; he had so much more to give and to take from life. he LOVED life. and, a part of me is now missing. :<(

Went to Wilson HS with Andy, who once helped me immensely with a very challenging project and introduced me to some great music in the process. May his memory be for a blessing to his family and all who loved and cared for him.
