Anjana Patel Obituary
Anjana Patel (1949-2023)
Anjana, born in Nairobi, Kenya on January 8, 1949, was a loving wife and mother; talented cook and artist; and nature enthusiast. Studying fine arts at the University of Nairobi, she met Praful Patel. After marrying in 1973 they settled in Washington, DC, where she built a diverse community of friends. An independent spirit, she passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 9, 2023, leaving behind a rich tapestry of love and memories. She is survived by her husband, Praful; daughter, Trushna; son-in-law, Benjamin; and grandson, Vivaan. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, December 17, at 10 a.m. Please go to www.pumphreyfuneralhome.com to view and sign the family guestbook and to view the live stream of the service.
