ANNE KESSLER Obituary


ANNE CZYZAK KESSLER  
Anne Kessler was born in Washington, DC, on September 13, 1953 to John and Marjorie Czyzak and passed away on September 2, 2014. Her father was a lawyer and career diplomat with the U.S. Department of State and Chief Legal Advisor to Averell Harriman. She attended school in Arlington and Falls Church, Virginia, including J.E.B. Stuart, and graduated from The College of Wooster as Salutatorian in 1975 with a B.A. in Art History. Annie was an artist, linguist, musician, philanthropist, gourmet cook, and true intellectual. Despite her lifelong struggle with MS, she learned to ride at the age of 36 and was a first-flight member of the Orange County Hunt in Middleburg, Virginia. She was an ever-present mentor to all her children. She hosted numerous charitable events in Virginia and Fort Lauderdale and established a scholarship in her father's name at Broward College. Anne was preceded in death by her father, mother Marjorie Macone, and stepfather, Anthony Macone. Annie is survived by her loving husband, Kevin, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; her children and step-children, Constance Lee of Gainesville, Florida, Alexandra Lee of New York, New York, Tessa Lee of Denver, Colorado, Kemp Lee of Los Angeles, California, Cobb Kessler of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Campbell Kessler of Charlottesville, Virginia, and sister, Peggy Dannenbaum of London, England. Services private. Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
