My daughter and I still love and Miss Mrs. Witcher because she was such a delightful loving person. Upon meeting her for the very first time she was so welcoming. She made me and my daughter feel welcome and we were able to be ourselves and talk to her concerning the challenges my daughter had. We were amazed to find out she had previously worked with my brother Thomas Jones the former dean of students at Woodrow Wilson High. If I am not mistaken she also worked with him at Roosevelt. We are really sorry for your lost. My daughter tried to ring your mom's phone off the hook when she could not reach her months prior to her passing. My daughter would hog the phone not really giving me a chance to talk to her. Most of the time I had to yell in the background and say Hi Mrs. Witcher Terry won't give me the phone. She would just laugh. May the God of all comfort continue to embrace and console you now and always. It is an honor to write about your loving mom. So very sorry we could not make it to her homegoing service. She is truly resting with the Lord.
Always your friends,

We are over-whelmed with emotions in the passing of your mother. Yogi, Felecia and I go back at least 30 years. It saddens my heart to know that your family has suffered such a loss. It's times like these when I only wish I could be there for your both. Your mom was such a sweet person it's hard to believe she's not here anymore. But this one thing I know to be true "God makes no mistakes and to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord." The pain is often unbearable, but through Gods strength only, will you find peace in the midst of this storm. I love you both always.

To the family of Annie Witcher, be encouraged as you mourn, yet celebrate the best of her life. I had the good pleasure of working with Annie as a fellow teacher and later serving as her principal. Truly, I'm going to miss her.

Aunt Ann....there are so many precious memories I have of you. So beautiful, loving and kind. Poised and sophisticated. To me you never lost that southern accent which I loved! The times we've talked...the encouragement you gave, the laughter, it still resonates in me today. My mind takes a trip back down memory lane, remember that cold day when you wore two pair of pants just to keep warm and we thought that was the funniest thing. I could go on... there is so much of my life I wanted to share with you. As time passed I didn't see you as often, thoughts of you were always with me.

You have entered into the Joy of the Lord, and that's a beautiful place to be. Love you always,

Joyce

My dearest Aunt Ann....I can remember the first day I met you when you married my late Uncle Clarence bout 50 years ago. It's like it was just yesterday. You never changed from the sweet, and compassionate person I first met. You were so easy to love and I will miss you deeply. I know you have your wings and you are with God. You will never be forgotten. Love your Niece

Dear Yolanda and Family,
You and your family have all my prayers and I (THERESA JONES) THE ONE WHO ALWAYS CALLED AND ASKED ABOUT YOUR SWEET MOM. SHE WAS SO PRECIOUS AND ALWAYS CONCERNED ABOUT ME. MY MOM WOULD PRAY AND TALK WITH HER. SHE WOULD LAUGH AS SOON AS SHE FOUND OUT IT WAS ME ON THE PHONE AND SAY, HOW ARE YOU THERESA. I SURE WILL MISS HER. I TOLD MY UNCLE THOMAS JONES WHO WORKED WITH HER AT WOODROW WILSON AND HE SENDS HIS CONDOLENCES ALSO. MAY THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT, SUSTAIN YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
SINCERELY,

THERESA M. JONES
PS IAM SO GLAD I MET HER AT ROOSEVELT
SHE WILL FOREVER BE MY MENTOR AND FAVORITE TEACHER AND TALKED TO ME LIKE A MOM AND SHE AND MY MOM BECAME FRIENDS.

My deepest sympathy to your daughters and family. I shared transportation with Annie to and from our weekly trips to dialysis. I was heartsick to hear of her passing, she will be greatly missed by those of us on the First shift, we shared laughs, care and concern for each other, she was a wonderful spirit I feel blessed to have known her. My prayers are with each of during this time of sorrow.

Mom, I miss you so much. I waited for my regular Saturday 8am phone call today> it never came. I guess you were busy with the other angels. I miss you terribly but I know that you would want me to go on and enjoy my life. Tell my Daddy and Ryan that I said "hello" you all have your angel wings now. Felecia and I will be okay. Love you immensely, YOGI
