Sending warmest wishes to all; may fond memories and the love of family and friends comfort you.
I appreciated Dr. Kirsch's "intervention" when I was ready to give up on my statistics class. He was not my professor, but must have spoken to him and, perhaps as the father of friends, spoke to me one day as I passed by. Tsk tsk tsk... you could pass that class. Sigh, ok, what do I need to do? Thanks, Dr. Kirsch!

So sorry for your loss. In my short interactions with Arthur I will say he was a good man who put others before himself. He will be missed.
