I have such wonderful memories of Austin as boy and young man. In particular, I remember how he went out of his way to make me feel welcome and included at Brodin family gatherings.
May peace be with his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Austin's death. He was a classmate of mine at U.Va.'s law school and I thought highly of him.
I wish I had known about his death sooner because I would have attended the viewing and his entombment.

Austin was a good friend in High School, at a very important and formative time in my life. I will always remember him with fondness and gratitude. My most heartfelt sympathies are extended to Austin's family at Austin's departure from this world far too soon.

Visits to Virginia were looked upon with great anticipation. It was always a pleasure to see our cousins, and take some time to get caught up on recent events and what was currently going on with our lives. And although we were separated by most of the continent for most of our lives, fond memories remain of the few times Austin and I spent alone together. Austin was in Law School, and I was about to begin my last semester at school. During a brief pre-Christmas visit to Fairfax, Austin and I went for a run late one cool December evening. We were both excited about where we were, and what mysteries were in store for us in the coming years. Although we were not the closest of cousins, my memories are fond, and our loss is profound. Austin will always be looked upon with fondness, and his memories in my mind will always spark a memory of his infectious smile and boyish enthusiasm. Peace be with you, dear cousin
