Avis Ann Miner

Avis Ann Miner, born on May 8, 1955, peacefully passed away on January 22, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Alfred Miner and Erma B. Dorsey-Miner, both of whom preceded her in death. Avis was also preceded in death by her cherished granddaughter, Nia H. Smith. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Neoka Smith, and son-in-law, LaMar Smith. Avis was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Mahri and Grant, who brought immense joy to her life. She leaves behind her closest friend William Bain and a host of other family and friends who will remember her fondly for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Mass of Christian Burial February 13, 2026 at Holy Comforter St Cyprian Catholic Church 1357 East Capitol St SE. Visitation 10 a.m., Mass 11 a.m. Interment Washington National Cemetery.
