Dear Judy,
I learned of your husband's passing quite late and am very sorry for your loss. He was a very good and caring doctor and it was always a pleasure to see him as well as you too. He will be missed by many of his patients but always remembered fondly. A wonderful doctor and human being. It was my good fortune to have him for a doctor for many years. Take care and know that I send the deepest of sympathies to you and your family.

Dear Judy, Bruce and I were shocked and saddened when we heard that our dear Dr. Avrunin had died. We were patients of his since 1985 and thought we would continue our relationship for a few more years. We miss his caring and expertise as well as the excellent referrals he provided when necessary. When his office moved from Kensington to Olney we continued to see him even though it took us 1/2 hour to travel to the office. He was worth it. We enjoyed the excellent health care and personal attention provided by him and his office. That means you Judy. We were always received by a warm welcome and our needs were certainly met. We will miss him. Warmly, Bruce and Malka Kutnick

Hi Judy, I was very sorry to hear about Dr. Avrunin's passing. As you know, Dr. Avrunin was my doctor for many years (as well as the doctor for my wife and adult son). One of the highlights of my visits with Dr. Avrunin was being able to chat with him about what I was doing at FDA and the world of diagnostic devices. It was always interesting to hear his perspective and I'm going to miss him. He was such a vibrant, caring doctor who was a throwback to an earlier age. My sympathies go out to you and your family.
Sincerely, Josh Levin

As the time passes I want to share with you and your family how deeply saddened I was to hear of Dr. Avrunin's back problems, his retiring and then his passing. I was shocked at all stages of this sad news. I want to share with you not only my condolences but my sincere and genuine appreciation for you, Dr. Avrunin, Julie and all of the other people in your office who took such good care of me and opened your hearts to me and listened to me as I opened my heart to you. You and Dr. Avrunin will always be in my heart. As many others have said to you the door to my heart is open should you ever want to talk to me or see how I am doing. My blessings for your continued journey.

My Dear Judy and family - I am so glad I got to hug Dr. A when seeing him for the last time. I asked personally how he was doing and he remarked about his back still being a problem. As many other patients were, I was shocked and saddened to hear about his death --- it is a BIG loss to many. He was a wonderful, caring, "take your time doctor" and you, Judy, made our visits such delightful ones. God love you. I hope Dr. A got to read the cards I left for him in his office when I first found out he was ill and was going to retire. It would please me to know that. My love and sympathy go out to your whole family. Be as strong as you can. Edie

So, so sorry to hear of Dr. Avrunin's passing. He was a great physician and a wonderful man. My deepest condolences to Judy and the kids and grand-kids. Whenever I saw him for a medical visit he would spend half the time talking about his wonderful family (I admit I would start by asking about each one). He understood the importance of family and health. I will miss him deeply.
