Bernadine Dadey Obituary

Bernadine Skopek Dadey passed peacefully at home on the morning of March 12, 2025. She was born to Woyteck and Mary Yurkuski Skopek on July 29, 1929 in Nanticoke, PA. She moved to Washington, DC in 1955 and married Joseph Dadey in 1956. They moved to Silver Spring, Md in 1957 and has resided there until her death. She was an active member of St John the Baptist Church in Sliver Spring, MD. Before and after retirement she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and her church. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Dadey (2011); mother of James Dadey and the late Paul Dadey (1982). Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd, West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) on Friday, March 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. Services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, March 22 with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., and Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Church.
