I have known Betty Ann Collins since I was 10 years old. I would go to their house to visit with my best friend, Ann, and I practically moved in! Mrs. Collins let us take over the kitchen to bake bread and make strawberry smoothies and eat all of the leftovers. Mrs. Collins taught me to appreciate Asian food, especially rice with seaweed - yum!
I knew that Mrs. Collins was a dedicated kindergarten teacher, but I was not aware of her role in integrating Louise Archer Elementary School. That makes me even more proud to have known her. Sending love to the family,
Karen
