Beulah Given Blackmon

Beulah Given Blackmon passed away on February 2, 2024. Born on September 19, 1922 in Strange Creek, WV, daughter of Oscar Lawrence and Etta Frame Given. She was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters. Her husband of 42 years, Marion Claxton Blackmon, preceded her in death in 2009. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. For 10 years Beulah taught in a one room school in West Virginia and for 30 years, she was an elementary teacher in the Alexandria school system. She was an active member of the Eastern Star, Martha Washington Chapter #42 and Ladies Oriental Shrine. Friends may call at the Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 1 p.m. with a "Celebration of Life Service" to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will take place on Monday, February 19 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S. Kings Hwy., Alexandria, VA. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 1645 W.
