Lydia and Jennifer,
I was sorry to hear about the passing of your father. What an interesting and impressive career he had! Even with such a long and full life, I know the loss still leaves a space that no one else can fill.
My thoughts are with you both. Please let me know when his memorial service will take place.

To Lydia, Jennifer, and their children: my wife Susan Gutchess and I were lucky enough to join the Potomac Tennis Club, which met weekly at Roemer McPhee´s court. Jenks was a regular and we quickly developed deep affection and respect from him. He was smart, civilly active and kind. He was a joy to know. We will miss knowing he´s on the planet but his legacy of decency lives on. Best, Helen Ingalls and Susan Gutchess
