BOBBIE FLOYD CHANDLER SR. "PaPa"
Bobbie Floyd Chandler, Sr, age 89, affectionately known as "PaPa" peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on January 20, 2022. Born in West Point, Miss., on July 26, 1932, to the late Gerdine and Marcella Moore Chandler. Preceded in death by brothers, George and Cyril Chandler; daughter Jacquelyn Chandler; sons Bobbie Chandler, Jr. and Donald Chandler; and grandson Darius Murdock. Survived by his devoted wife, Doris; daughter Jeanarta McEachron; grandchildren Peter (Chris) Adams, Tia Patterson, Tyrone Patterson (Felecia), Brandye Lee, Ralph Lee (Jamie), Donnell Murdock (Twayla) and Bobbie Chandler, III; great-grandchildren Jalen Houchins, Tyrone Patterson, III, Darren Patterson, Jordan Houchins, Siena Lee, Shyla Murdock, Joseph Davis, April Chandler, Darius Chandler and Brandon Adams; brother Jimmie Chandler (Velma); sisters Sara Wims and Myra Sampson (John); sister-in-law Theresa Chandler; and a host of dear nieces, nephews and cousins. Public visitation at 9 a.m. with private service following at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022, at First Baptist Church, 3440 Minnesota Ave., SE, Washington, DC 20019. Interment Monday, January 31, 2022 at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 4001 Suitland Rd., Suitland, MD Masks and social distancing are required. Service will be live streamed at: www.fbc-dc.org.
