I met Brian 58 years ago as we were both starting our college careers at Xavier University in Cincinnati. We were both assigned to live in Elet Hall, a very special dorm. Elet was small compared to other dorms, population topping out at just a little over 100 students. Elet was the second oldest building on campus and looked like a castle. Freshman year was great. We spent a large amount of time getting to know each other, mostly while bellying up to the bar at Dana Avenue Beer Gardens, which was only a ten minute walk to but a 45 minute crawl back to Elet. Fast forward to senior year. 1968/1969. 4224 Red Bud Place. The House. Five guys (Crockett, Bill, Lefty, Brian and Dennis) enjoying a very memorable life. (Sadly, we are now three, Brian and Lefty having "gone before us" way too soon.) Party Party Party. We thought and hoped it would never end. But it did. June 4, 1969 was graduation day. Commencement speaker was George McGovern, a very hot ticket back then at the height of the Viet Nam War. We partied late into the night, hoping that we would wake up and be headed to Freshman orientation. But that was not to be. School was out and we had to go. Fortunately, the friendships we had developed would not end. And they never will. Over the years, we have had the good fortune to gather at various venues to reminisce and build on our valuable and permanent friendships. We will miss you, Brian. I have but one request. Please save me a seat at your table. Lotsaluv. I must be off. Dennis Brake

We were so sorry to learn of the death of our friend, Brian. We have so many fond memories that we shared!
Whenever the Young Rascal´s song, "Groovin" plays... we´ll picture Brian´s bigger than life smile, arms a-going, and he´s dancing away!
Our sincerest condolences to Sallie and all your family, as you cherish your own memories of your years together.
Our prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Hung around with Brian briefly while in high school. Tom Fenlon told me a few months back that Brian was extremely ill. Was praying for him ever since. God has called him to heaven. Love out to his family.

I only knew Brian for a short time long ago, but he made a great impression on me and my friends when he coached our White Oak rec league basketball team around 1977. He took us to the Corner Pub after games and even hosted us at his and Sallie´s home in Four Corners. My friends and I look back fondly on that team, and especially about what a great guy and coach Brian was. We send our deepest sympathies to Brian´s family.
