Bryan Louiselle Obituary

Louiselle

Bryan A. Louiselle

Bryan Louiselle passed away at his residence in Milwaukee Wisconsin on August 20, 2022. Son of Mary and Bruce Louiselle he was born on October 31, 1966 and was raised in Northern Virginia. After graduating from Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School in Arlington, he moved to New York at the age of 17 to attend Manhattan School of Music over his Father's objections-who urged him to go to a school that had a football team.

After successfully completing his Bachelor's degree in music he embarked on a career in musical theater starting with St. Bart's in New York City, then to summer stock in Connecticut, becoming the musical director of Radio City Music Hall's Christmas and Easter shows at 24 years old. He spent many years playing in, composing, orchestrating, and directing music for Broadway shows, a Super Bowl, and inauguration events. In addition, he was retained to over-see the musical end of a K through 8 musical education program for a major educational publishing entity requiring him to arrange, conduct, compose numerous pieces, and record hundreds of CDs for this project. The many trips to Nashville to record led him to leave New York City and move to Nashville where he lived until last year when he moved to Milwaukee.

He is survived by his parents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother Christopher. A private internment will be held followed by a meeting of friends and family to celebrate his life, especially remembering his passion for languages and storytelling at a date to be determined. Contributions to your favorite charity in his memory would be appreciated.

Bryan- we have so many memories from high school. Prom, homecoming, driving to OC for beach week. Then I finally dug you out after sending you dozens of emails and then we messaged every day all day and talked on the phone for hours. I miss you constantly. My heart is broken and I don´t know what to do.

After posting a happy birthday to his Facebook page, a mutual friend reached out to tell me of Bryan´s passing. Bryan and I worked together for a number of years at Radio City Music Hall in the Christmas and Easter shows. His passion, kindness and incredible talent permeated everything he did and I always knew he had my back. I can´t believe he was only 24! Conducting a 30 piece orchestra with such confidence and beauty. I am so incredibly saddened to hear that he is no longer with us. It is a loss for everyone who´s ever had the great fortune to be in his presence. Rest In Peace dear Bryan.

I only knew Bryan as a teenager. I was the choir teacher at O'Connell HS, and he was my accompanist. We used to spend hours sitting at the piano with him playing Elton John songs (shocker!) and me singing along and harmonizing with him. Our favorite was Daniel. If anyone else tried to sing with us....he'd say 'no, I just want Ms. Gardiner on this one!' And when we reconnected recently, he told me he was so impressed that I could improvise harmonies....that he was such a classicist, and a geek, that he thought a score was always required! I wish I'd known him as an adult. We had some great conversations via FB messenger but never saw each other in person after he graduated from HS. Damn the pandemic for ruining several opportunities for us to meet up. I've loved reading all the condolences here and my heart is full knowing what a beautiful person he was. I'm just so sorry he struggled so much. It was great to be at the gathering last weekend and re-connect with some O'Connell folks, and to talk with people who knew the adult, professional Bryan....it was a true tribute to an amazing man! God speed Bryan. I hope you are finally at peace. "Daniel is traveling tonight on a plane....."

I am an avid fan of the Silver Burdett Series that Mr. Louiselle oversaw. His work on that endeavor was above and beyond the typical "classroom music" we get. I still use that music and am saddened to hear of his passing, and also grateful for his gifts.

I remember Bryan playing for me a recording of him reciting Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken" in a cartoon voice. Who would think of that?! And it was perfect.

I met Bryan when he was 18! Since
then we have shared a deep friendship connection until his passing. Starting this last April we spoke for hours a day. The main theme was his love for family.
My deepest condolences.

Know that his love for you was boundless.

Please feel free to contact me if you just want to talk about him.

It is almost impossible to believe that Bryan, who embraced life so totally, will not be in our lives from now on. Every memory I have of him makes me smile. I will always be grateful that we met and shared so much. I send my condolences to Bryan's parents and family.

I don't quite know how to explain or express my thoughts and feelings on hearing of Bryan's passing. Truly, this human being not living on this earth is very hard to process. Friendship, kindness, hilarious laughter, inspiration, deep conversation, and encouragement were all gifts he gave to me when we were so young. So formative was this relationship to me. He was such a friend that his spot in my heart can never be filled or replaced. We did not grow older knowing each other, but I will always be grateful for the people we were to each other all those years ago. I wish the deepest sympathy and condolences to his friends and family.

This is where it started. Who could resist that crazy creative intelligence, that absolutely unmatchable wit, even when you were 16! And don't think we couldn't see through all that electric energy to your heart. I am devastated and I miss you so. No more hilarious interruptions to my workday? No more limericks? No more rants about near rhymes? No more Tuscany dreaming? Bottle of red, Bry. Love you.

Mary, I remember you from working at Hospice back in the '80s. When Bryan played the lead in Music Man at O'Connell, my son played Winthrop. I recognized then what musical talent he had. I am sorry for your loss.

I lack words to express my sympathies. Bryan was one of a kind, an amazing talent and soul. I was crew at Candlewood and have wonderful memories of Bryan working and playing. Both my husband and I can't hear some of the songs he played at cabaret without smiling in memory of Bryan's antics as he played. Reconnecting with him on Facebook has been wonderful, and I will miss him.
