Went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 22, 2007.
She was born in Manila, Philippines on December 20, 1944 to the late Ibarra G. Del Corro and Cely A. Del Corro.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a wonderful woman with a lot of love for everyone, especially her family. She had a heart of gold and put everyone before herself. She was very spiritual and was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Raleigh, NC.
Carmen was preceded in death by husband, Knox Beatty, and step-daughter, Cathy Beatty. She is survived by son, Daryl E. McCarthy and his wife, Karen L. McCarthy of Wilmington, NC and daughter, Kelly M. Warack and her husband, Peter P. Warack of Sterling Heights, MI, and step-children, Theresa Devlin and her husband, Thomas of Pasadena, MD and Elizabeth McKey and her husband, Joseph, of Midlothian, VA; sisters, Deborah Del Corro of Chapel Hill, NC, and Susan Swazye and her husband, Kenneth of Hendersonville, NC; and brothers, Darry Del Corro, Thomas Del Corro and his wife, Deborah of Raleigh, NC, and Roman Del Corro of Charleston, WV.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Cole E. McCarthy and Andie M. McCarthy, and step-grandchildren Amanda C. Warack, Jennifer N. Warack, Bobby Devlin, Cathy Devlin, Tommy Devlin, Meredith McKey, Samuel McKey, Max McKey, and Anna McKey.
The family will receive friends at ROGERS AND BREECE FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2007 prior to a funeral Mass beginning at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, NC. Donations to the American Diabetes Association or St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh, NC in lieu of flowers are her wishes.

Carmen was my dearest friend whom I will miss with all my heart. We shared so many, many memories over the last 40 years that death will not erase them and I plan on meeting her again in heaven.
