CAROL WASER Obituary
CAROL MEGBY WASER
A longtime resident of the Washington area, Carol passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 14, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Mark Waser, Kelly Sackheim, Patti Fitz and Amy Wang; nine grandchildren with four spouses. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of three great-grandchildren in September and October. She has been a member of the River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 3 p.m.

I'm lighting this candle for you mom. I think about you every day and miss you so much. You and dad took me in your house when I was 6 yrs old and adopted me when I was 8 and always told me I was special cause you choose me and that meant the world to me. I love you

I remember Carol fondly when her grandson Josh and I spent a week with her family visiting the D.C. area immediately following our graduation from high school. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and wish the best to her husband, Bob, and the rest of her family.

I have wonderful memories of my sister, Carol. She was brilliant, kind and loving. She was an inspiration to me in so many ways. Because of her, I went to college and graduate school. She taught me to appreciate the arts and so much more. Words cannot truly express how much I will miss her the rest of my life. I feel such grief for her husband, Bob, and all of her children. Serving in the Peace Corps and hosting children from other countries was the most wonderful thing to do.

Dearest Mom, I am so much wishing you were sittning here next to me in my garden. We would talk about old times and new. I have felt your love through all the years. It is very special for me to have had an extra Mom who I lived with for a year and who has then remained my Mom. I know you are in a beautiful place now.

Dear Robert and Family, My name is Marthese Borg. I knew her when she was working in Malta in the drug addiction field. I was very young and eager to learn then. And for sure she was there to teach us and to mentor us. She was ever so kind and always always was ready to lend an ear. I am sure Heaven received another angel.
