CAROLE M. HANLEY (Age 82)
Passed peacefully at home in North Bethesda, MD on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Arthur G. Hanley, Sr.; and loving mother of David (Jane Hynok), Patricia (Michael) Marcus, Arthur Jr. "Chip", Michelle (Dru) Srnecz, and Michael (Laurie Millar); grandmother of Benjamin, Emily and Julia Marcus, and Sarah Hanley. Sister of Clara Stawowczyk, Anita Macklin, Ann Moran, Carl Macino, Rose Leeds, and the late Lawrence Macino, Marie Streppa, Evelyn Vannosdel, Violet Hanis, Robert Macino, and Dominick Macino, Jr. Friends and family may call at Robert A. Pumphrey Funeral Home, 300 W. Montgomery Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850 on Friday, August 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday August 6 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 4900 Strathmore Avenue, Garrett Park, MD 20896. Inurnment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Neurobehavioral Unit (NBU) at Kennedy Krieger Institute or www.celebrateability.org. To all my Hanley cousins and your loved ones, you have my deepest sympathy. Your mother saved my mother and I am eternally grateful for that. I will never forget all of your generosity at a time my family needed it the most. I keep you in my prayers especially at this time. Please know you are special to me.
