Catherine Elizabeth Nerantzis

Catherine Elizabeth Nerantzis, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord, on November 2, 2025. Cathy was born on December 17, 1969 in Lima, Ohio. While completing her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University, she began attending Fourth Presbyterian Church, where she met and married her husband. She was devoted to her four children and was an unceasing source of patient, steadfast love, boundless energy, and creative fun. Cathy made great friends wherever she went. She nurtured her friendships with intentionality, and her friends will always remember her selflessness, sense of humor, and enthusiasm. She was a gift to everyone around her. Cathy will be greatly missed, and her memory will always be cherished by those who enjoyed the great blessing of knowing her. In addition to her husband (Jimmy) and children (Emmalee, Zoe, Cecelia, Jesse), Cathy is survived by her father, L.Y. Soo, and brothers: Ken (Kitty), Michael (Audrey), and Jeff (Eileen). She is preceded in death by her dear mother, Dixie Lee Boney Soo. The memorial service celebrating Cathy's life and legacy will be held at Fourth Presbyterian Church 5500 River Road, Bethesda, MD on Friday, November 14 at 1 p.m. in the afternoon and will be followed by a reception.
