On March 3, 2002, of Chesapeake, VA. Born in Decatur, IL to James and Magnolia Crahan. Preceding her in death was her husband, Howard F. Hawkins, to whom she was married for 36 years. Mrs. Hawkins was a retired registered nurse, who served many years at Arlington Hospital. She was also a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Great Ridge, VA. Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Green and her husband, Richard, of Chesapeake, VA; two sons, David Hawkins of Chesapeake, VA and Thomas Hawkins of Manassas, VA; two sisters, Rose Browne and Dorothy Crahan, both of St. Louis, MO and two grand- children, Diana Hubbard of Chesapeake and Johnny Hawkins of Manassas. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2002 in the Chapel of OMAN FUNERAL HOME, Great Bridge, VA, by Fr. Haydinger. Interment will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 7 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, March 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
