HELLER Cecilia Mary Heller On Tuesday, January 25, 2022 Cecilia Mary Heller, beloved wife of the late Gregory Heller, mother of seven children and grandmother of 14, passed away at age 78. Cecilia was born on April 13, 1943 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Cecilia enjoyed her childhood in Elizabeth with her dear cousins and family. Cecilia graduated from Benedictine Academy and Georgetown University. Cecilia met Greg, the love of her life, on a blind date while at Georgetown. The two were married on December 30, 1967. Cecilia and Greg were happily married for 52 years until Greg's death in 2020. Cecilia lived for over 40 years in Fairfax, VA. Cecilia modeled the beauty and wonder found in day to day life, a strong Catholic faith and humility. Cecilia was known for her sweet nature, grace and gentleness,love of the beach and gardens, singing, and impeccable handwriting. Cecilia remembered loved ones' birthdays, through both birthday cards and in song accompanied by the tambourine. Cecilia loved her family, and was a fixture at family gatherings. Cecilia fondly remembered her trips overseas, including to Ireland and Rome, as well as life-long memories made domestically in St. Louis, Hawaii and New Jersey. Cecilia was proud of her seven children: daughter Jean Marie and husband Rick Santiago, of Baltimore, MD; daughter Claire and husband Barry Hargreaves of Potomac Falls, VA; son Gregory of Germantown, MD; daughter Laura and husband Stephen Phillips of Midlothian, VA; son Matthew and wife Mary Beth of Springfield, VA; son Timothy and wife Jessica Yeo of Arlington, VA; and daughter Sheila and husband Patrick Powell of Falls Church, VA. Cecilia will be fondly remembered by her 14 grandchildren: Jack, Pitcher, Nicholas, Nate, Luke, Maria Cecilia, Grady, Noah, Daniel, Beckett, Sean, Lorelei, Zachary and Christopher. Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents Michael and May Jakub. Cecilia is survived by: her sister Jane Jakub Bundy, brothers Michael and Louis Jakub, cousins, godchildren, nieces, and nephews. Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032.
