What a noble mind is here o'erthrown. Chuck, your wit, insight, and spirit were incomparable. Thanks for sharing a bit of it with me.

First person I met in CRS in 72. A true Renaissance Man with his wit, humor, and love of knowledge. He shared that with all of us and our lives have since been enriched.
A Giant among men and is truly missed!

Sorry to get the news about Chuck Goodrum,We worked together at the Congressional Research Service of the Library of Congress in the 1970s. I haven't seen him in many years, but I remember him with great affection. As a matter of fact, within the past six months, I ordered a couple of his mysteries that I had never read, from Amazon. They were, not surprisingly, a delightful read, bringing back fond memories of our association at CRS and the Library of Congress. A very talented, charming guy! A life well lived! / Bill Kaye

Words cannot even begin to express my sadness. I will miss his amusing,if oft told stories, the roll of eyes from those who have had heard them many times before, and his laugh as he tells them. The world is a little darker without his humour. My thoughts and love are with each of you.

I had the honor and good fortune to work With Chuck for 15 years in CRS. He was one of the most intelligent men I have ever met. He was a great mentor and with his guidance we did some amazing things at CRS . The first on line file with the New York Times as an example. His humour and smile will not be forgotten.
