CHARLES NICOLSON Obituary
CHARLES WHITE NICOLSON (Age 84)
Of Bethesda Maryland died peacefully at home on Friday, June 5, 2015. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 62 years, Elizabeth Halley Nicolson, and his adored children, Elizabeth (Betsy) Nicolson Leitholf (Richard) and Charles (Chip) White Nicolson Jr (Margaret). Also surviving are five grandchildren: Susan L Robbins (Chris), Robert C. Leitholf, Charles R. Nicolson, Megan L. Nicolson, and Matthew D. Nicolson and one great-grandson Scott Halley Robbins. Mr. Nicolson was born in Washington DC and grew up in Bethesda Maryland. He attended Episcopal High School and graduated from Sidwell Friends School. After graduating from Yale University, he was hired by Pepco as an engineer and retired in 1993 after 39 years.Services for Mr. Nicolson will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Chevy Chase Maryland on Friday, July 10 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the Chevy Chase Club. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the Salvation Army, 2626 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20037.
