A beloved McLean, VA, orthodontist for 30 years, Dr. Charles Michael Price peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 85. A United States Air Force veteran, Dr. Price was known for his kindness and sense of humor. An avid fan of all DC sports teams, he most enjoyed spending time with his family, often at Bethany Beach, where he could be seen conquering his daily crossword puzzles. A graduate of Coolidge High School and the University of Maryland, he studied dentistry at Georgetown University and earned an MSD in orthodontics from Howard University. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lois, his son, Brian Price (Celia), his daughter, Julie Barke (Brian), his grandchildren, Joey and Gabrielle Barke and Maddox and Levi Price, his brother, Paul (Roslyn), his sister, Emily, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, 1 p.m at Judean Memorial Gardens Chapel, 16225 Batchellors Forest Rd., Olney, MD. Hi All - Dr. Price was integral part of the fabric of McLean. If anyone happened to be born with some challenged teeth, you were in luck! I witnessed first hand what a fun experience going to the orthodontist could be (crazy, right?). The music, the fantastic staff, and, of course, the fun chats with Dr. Price catching up on all the happenings of McLean. When visiting McLean and passing by his old office, I always break into a smile (with better teeth of course!). Dr. Price was such a joy to be around. He was a wonderful family man and I always enjoyed a home visit. Blessings to the Price family for giving all of us such great pleasure being in the presence of Dr. Price. Lois, our sincerest condolences on the passing of Charlie. Though we lost touch over the years, I had very fond memories and the greatest respect for Charlie. His quiet sense of humor, intellect, and ability set a high standard for me and our classmates at HUCD Orthodontics.
