I never had the opportunity to meet Charles in person but I remember him
fondly.
Always jovial, courteous, upbeat and positive. (my exact opposite) The TMF family has lost an excellent member and all of us
miss him terribly.
My deepest, heartfelt condolence to the family.

I never met Charles in person, but I considered him a friend. He was a beautiful man with a great sense of humor. Charles knew I am not a praying woman and never held that against me. Know that you, Karen, are in my thoughts nonetheless.

Keep a place warm for the rest of us, Charles.

Charles was one of those people who truly touched the lives of the people who knew him. This rare quality made him even larger in spirit than he was in stature.
The moments we have in life are all too short. I'm sure that we all wish we had more time with him. But just knowing that he touched so many lives in so many ways is a reason why none of us will forget him. He had that gentle strength. Charles was my friend.

Charles'
Family,
Charles was a valued member of our internet community. His love for his
family, BBQ'ing, his Lord (and his car!) was clearly and eloquently
expressed time and time again. He will be sorely missed by all of us
who grew to know him! My thoughts are with you in this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Ken

As another e-friend of Charles' from The Motley Fool, I always enjoyed his contributions to the automotive themed boards, especially being a fellow Mercury lover.
I can only imagine how sad his family and those who knew him in person must feel.
Thank You

Charles was one to always post an uplifting note on our internet community called the Christian Fools. He was clearly a man who loved his Lord -- all of his writings attest to that. His contributions will be sorely missed by all. May the Lord bless all of you that are left to grieve his passing.

Charles, I wish I could have met you in person, not only just on the internet. You always had a kind and warm thing to say, or rather "type" as it was. You have many friends out here across the country, and like me, we wish we could have had you around for a lot longer.
Happy trails, Charles, from one of your many friends at The Motley Fool website.

I knew Charles from his Motley Fool postings. I was always impressed by him and considered him an online friend.
I remember in particular some of his posts about how he viewed his responsibilities as a husband and father, and what a privilege he considered it to be a father figure in several children's/young adults' lives.
He was a man of class and dignity - he will be missed. His family will be in my prayers.

My Dear Charles ~
Many a time we conversed on TMF and a few times through private email. I treasured your sweet spirit and excitement for the Lord. I loved hearing about how much you love your wife and how important she is to you.
Enjoy your time with the Savior as you wait for the rest of us to spend eternity together in fellowship and song!

Charles, my dear friend, you will be sorely missed. As will your wise counsel and advice. How rare and passing strange to find a good friend and true Christian Gentleman only to lose him so son. Keep the Q pit fired up and waiting for us, my brother, we will be there "directly".

Hey Karen,
Charles was both greatly admired and loved on The Motley Fool's forums!!
He was a wonderful man who truly loved his Wife, Family, and God.
I had many wonderful chats with Charles and only regret having never met him in real life. But, I know someday we will meet and it will be an honor for me when that day arrives!
I've been collecting Fool's posts about Charles on the BBQ Fools web site and hope y'all get some comfort from these posts knowing how much Charles was admired and loved.
