Dear Bob and family: I am so sorry for your loss. We have known each other for over 30 years and our beautiful elm tree is still alive because of you. From your first visit to check on the elm, it was clear you were surrounded by a loving supportive family. Paul so enjoyed sharing basketball stories with you about 'the girls.' I never had the privilege of meeting Christal but over the years I felt as if I had. Through your stories about Christal and the girls, I felt the love and support shared by both of you. What an incredible family the two of you raised and the memories of your years together will support and comfort you. You will always be surrounded by her love and incredible spirit. In my thoughts and prayers always. Michele Michael

Dear Bob,
Paul and I are so very sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. You have taken such good care of our trees for well over 25 years, and whenever you came out we would have such peasant visits, always talking about family. It was obvious that yours was a very close family, and that your wife was a wonderful wife and mother. I was very happy to get to meet her one of the last times you came by our house after hearing about her for so many years. She seemed just as lovely as you have always given the impressions she was! We are sure your girls and your grandchildren are doing their best to support you and each other. How fortunate you all have been to have such a talented, loving, kind, and good person caring for your family all these years.
With prayers for God's comfort for you all!

Christal was a remarkable woman who could do everything from making the perfect apple pie to helping build a house to sewing a rag rug. She had such a lovely voice, the sweetest smile, and told some of the funniest stories I've ever heard. Her passing is so sad. I hope that when Bob and the girls look around the lovely house she made into a loving home, they feel surrounded by her love and care. Sending our love and prayers to all of you. She will be missed!
