Christian Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR CHRISTIAN LAMAR TAYLOR "Chris" On Sunday, July 27, 2008. He is survived by his mother, Maria Taylor; one sister, Garnetta; one brother, Eugene and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 10 a.m. until time of service of 11 a.m. at the First Rising Mount Zion Baptist Church, 601 N St. NW, Washington, DC. Rev. Raymond C. Bell, Pastor. Interment at Fort Lincoln. Arrangements by ROBINSON FUNERAL HOME.

I was very sad, when I received the news about Chris. He was a very sweet young man, who I had the pleasure of working with @ the NWSH Enrichment Center on 7th St. He always greeted me with a smile. I remember giving up my Saturday so the boys could practice and he and EJ were very committed about the band. The last conversation I had with Chris, he was asking me for a flyer, I should have made for the band. His words were "Ms. Monique, were is my flyer? Well, Chris I guess I will have to make those flyer's when I get up there with you. I'm sure you'll be GOD's great band of soldiers. You will truly be missed.

Chris, I did not know you but my brother in law Jeff work with the youths my understanding you where a good person I'am very sad about this tragic death Rest in Peace VM HU

My heart dropped when I got the call about your death....It's sad that it almost always happens to the good ones; No one deserves to die but in this case God needed a soldier in which he chose you. Watch over your family and the rest of us here on what I now call HELL on earth. Rest in Peace Chris
