CHRISTOPHER JOHN McGATH (Age 63)
On Sunday, November 29, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Susan M. DeCamp; father of Meghan and Thomas McGath. Chris was a USDA Economist and devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Relatives and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, 20904, on Thursday, December 3 from 5 to 8 p.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 4 at 10:30 a.m. Interment All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Relief Services, www.crs.org. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

We remember Chris well for his kindness, thoughtfulness and warm smile that never left him, and was still as generously bestowed at our fortieth class reunion in 2010. Chris was an outstanding high school student and friend, and an even more outstanding human.

Susan, Meghan and Thomas, please accept our deepest condolence. We are truly sorry to hear of the loss of Chris. May our prayers and love help comfort you and hasten the journey of his soul to Heaven.
May our Lord bless and comfort you and your entire family during this time of grief.
*Chris is a dedicated Choir member and what a blessed voice he had that we all admire. When I greet Chris, I always thank him for that particular song and how much it comforts us during mass. Even sitting in the pews, my kids would say the same thing. We will miss you Chris, your are singing in haven now..... RIP friend.
