I was so shocked to hear of Clara's passing today. I am sorry to have missed her memorial service. I was Clara's hygienist and saw her faithfully every three months. I truly enjoyed the person she was. She was spirited and feisty and hated to get her teeth cleaned but she always showed up with a smile. She was a strong lady who inspired me and my mother-in-law who has the same respitory disease. She treated her illness with grace and self respect and was generous with her knowledge. I did not know her family, however she made it clear how much she loved and appreciated them. I mourn for all of you and for a lady who I will miss dearly. I feel lucky to have known her for the short eight years that I did.

I'll always remember the fun out-of-town shopping trips we took together and the restaurants we tried.
The dinners with the Los Ochos (four couples) were always fun with Clara - and afterwards her spirited participation in the Mexican Train Game!
Clara made things happen and for that we will always be grateful.

Clara was a beauty of life. Her beauty came from her soul that would radiate her love and warmth to anyone who came into her presence. She was a delight to know. A friend to all and a stranger to no one. We were all blessed by being her friend. May she rest with the angels and gaze upon the face of her Lord.
