Betsy, We are shocked and saddened with this painful news. As you know, Conrad and Greg were classmates and great friends at Prep and Gannon. They played sports, camped along Lake Erie and in Cook's Forest, and roomed together later on in DC. Then, you and Conrad introduced us, we became a couple, and the US Army took us away. In Greg's military duties, in the 1980s, he met FBI and federal attorneys who praised Con's professional skills (no surprise there) -- wish we had had a chance to tell him. Please accept our deepest sympathy for You and your Family. Gloria & Greg Meyer

Dear Betsy (Mary),
I am so saddened to read about Conrad's passing and wish I could be with you this morning at his services. We have met in the past here in Erie on the occasion of the 50th class reunion from St. Stanislaus grade school (9/29/01).Conrad has photos of our event. He was always a friendly, gentle and an intelligent guy. My husband Joe went to Prep with Conrad.(Joe is related to Kathy Gardner which your husband noted to us). Much love and sympathy to you and your family.

Conrad was a great next door neighbor and friend back in Erie during our school years. After college we all went separate ways and lost touch with each other as I have been in Texas for 49 of the last 52 years. May his soul rest in peace and may God bless his entire family for this tremendous loss!

Conrad was just a gentle soul.
He truly was a gift from God.
Sending many prayers to the family.
