CORNELIUS AWKARD Obituary
Cornelius P. Awkard, Jr.
Departed this life on April 24, 2021 in Bronx New York. He was 72 years old. His mother, Grace E. Awkard preceded him in death as well as two brothers, Jesse and Gregory. Cornelius, Jr. leaves to mourn his father, Cornelius Awkard, Sr. "Chummy" (Jerlean), two sisters, Nancy Awkard-Branch (Ronald)and Alice G. Awkard; one brother, Gary Awkard (Sharon); two nieces, Hasina Belton, and Cameron Awkard; two nephews, Jabari Belton and Gary Jr.; and two great-nieces, Mikayla Myers and Mia. He is also survived by one aunt, Grace Breedlove, cousin, Dorothy Washington "Jackie" and a host of cousins and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 1 p.m., Sandy Spring Slave Museum, 18524 Brooke Rd., Sandy Spring, MD 20860.
