Cynthia Mathieson Memoriam

Mathieson
Cynthia Mathieson (Age 40)
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share news of the passing of Cynthia Mathieson (November 1, 1985 - December 6, 2025), in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was beloved by so many throughout her life, and we will miss her beyond words.
Cynthia grew up in Bethesda and Kensington, Maryland, the cherished daughter of Drs. Donald and Bonnie Mathieson. She graduated from St. Andrew's Episcopal School and earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University. She spent many memorable years in her beloved New Orleans before later moving to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where she met the love of her life, Tim. They soon realized that their lives belonged in Hawaii, so they packed up themselves and their pup and made that dream a reality.
Cindy's jet-setting zest for life was inspiring and contagious. She was always taking on new endeavors and working toward them, while making the most out of whatever environment she was in.
Cindy never held back from being who she was. She was tough, deeply generous, and extremely loyal. When she loved, she loved hard. She always seemed to know what she wanted-and what she didn't-certainly a strength to admire.
She was an athlete, an academic, a professional, a party-girl, and a true individual. She was a wife, a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a niece, an aunt, and a devoted dog mom. She was a teammate, a colleague, a friend, and a best friend.
Cindy will live on forever in our memories and through the impact she made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Let's keep her beautiful, a**-kicking, enigmatic spirit alive in the universe with our love.
Private services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stone and Holt Weeks Foundation, an organization that Cynthia cared deeply about. (Stoneandholtweeksfoundation.org)
