Barbara,
My deepest condolences to you and your family at this tragic time in your life. May Damon's accomplishments in his short life serve as an example to those that would not have known his story otherwise.

Barbara and family, please accept my deepest sympathy. Damon and I were classmates at FAMU SOA. I can hear him greeting me like it was yesterday "hey Reggie man". Damon's energy was contagious and his accomplishments motivating. I pray that justice is done real soon. The attached photos are FAMU socials.

Barbara,
Please know that me and my family are in prayer for you and yours. I was saddened and hurt to hear about your son. His accomplishments are a shining example to our young men on taking care of their business and remaining true to self. A job well done as his mom.

To Damon's family and friends, please accept my condolences. Damon and I were at FAMU together in the Architecture program. Although we were not in contact after graduation I still feel the sense of lost and sadness of losing an old friend.... Unfortunately I could not be there for the memorial service but my prayers are with you.

Ms. Ward and Family-
Damon and I were not close, but I remember him from the School of Architecture in Tallahassee. We were both in 2nd year design. I remember that he was very friendly and upbeat and people enjoyed being around him. He was young and talented and very articulate. I am very sad to hear that he has passed, but I want you to know that his good manners and fine qualities as a person were appreciated by even those of us at FAMU who did not have the opportunity to know him better. Our prayers are with you all.

Barbara,
We cannot begin to understand the sharp piercing pain - a mother's pain - that you're experiencing, the tears, the questions without comforting answers, or why "this" beautiful expression of God's love was taken so suddenly, and yes, so senselessly, from us. No, we will never, ever, fully know on this side, the answer to one of life's most vexing and fleeting inquiries: "why."
Rest assured however, Damon is now safely within the borders of the land of the living.
Blessings,
Vincent
