DANIEL PETTY Obituary


DANIEL LESTER PETTY (Age 63)
Of Fairfax Station, VA, died May 12, 2018. Graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in computer science and botany, he also earned an MS in information systems from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He retired from the USAF at the rank of major in 1994 and continued working in the field of web development with Omnitec Solutions, Inc. for the last 16 years. Known for his quick, sharp sense of humor, he also loved all animals and was active in breeding and showing Cornish Rex cats for several years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Tracy; his father, L. Vernon Petty; his mother, Marie Petty; and his niece, Shannon Scott Terrones. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Marie (Petty) Scott. A service will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Charity Baptist Church in McLean, VA.
