DANIEL SKLAR Obituary


DANIEL M. SKLAR  
Of Washington, DC, Palm Desert, CA, and Chautauqua, NY, died on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on September 15, 1926, Dan was an entertainment lawyer, scholar, and lecturer on history, religion and law. He was known for his warmth, wry humor, intellect and especially his zest for life. He leaves behind his wife, Edie; sons with former spouse, Meredith Kelley; Robert (Eileen) Sklar and David (Lily) McIntyre; stepdaughters, Lisa (Seth) Tucker, Debbie (Gary) Westerland and Julie (Ted) Cohen; sister, Gail Podell; niece, Alison (Jeff) Rosenberg; nephew, Owen (Marcia) Podell; nine grandchildren and four grandnieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Temple Sinai, 3100 Military Road NW, Washington DC. Memorial contributions may be made to Capital Caring Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
