To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Darrin,so much pain is lying on my heart at this time but because I am on a spiritual high I know that this was indeed the place you needed to rest. I have so many memories of our life together and those memories will be instilled in Denae' as she grow. Please watch over Me and Denae as we blossom thru life and I promise I will be the best mother and provider. You will never be forgotten. Everyday is a struggle because when I look at Denae, it's like having you there next to us. May ALLAH keep you in his good grace, until we meet again LOVE TONYA

To Cuz,
It's still hard to beleive that you are gone but it is well told that the good die young, sometimes it's for the better because with so much cruelty in the world sometimes it's hard to imagine how some of the loved ones you lost would cope with some of the things that go on after there time I guess it's because everyone has there time, time to rest awya fom the long journey of LIFE.I want to thankyou for being someone my Brother could look up to and run to whenever he had an issue to be talked about it would be you that would guide him to doing right.
To Aunt Sis and Uncle Naeboo,
it's so much to say but so little ways to say it.You BOTH are very strong, caring, family oriented peopleand I wish both of you strength to get through this I love yall!
To the kids and Shelley,
It could be the worst thing loosing a parent, the person who was your sheild, your guidance, some one you knew would always be there(I felt that way about my father)but when you have a strong mother who will stand up and be mom and dad you still are very blessed.
LOVE,TEA

I just want to say that in life people usually have ups and downs with everyone they know at one time or another! It's seems inevitable!!! It's not!!!! This man was, I mean, is one of the closest friends that I have had a chance to share thoughts, feelings, doubts, and happy things with. We didn't have to see one another every day, every week, or even as much as every month but there was an understood mentality of manhood that we shared and it grew to be that way every since our childhood. There was never a, "down" with us, only, "ups"! This loss could really break me down if I let it because I can feel the devil trying to make bad out of the situation!! It ain't gonna work cause the devil is still a liar!!!! I will do just as God has taught me and count this as JOY!! A great joy at that!!! Breathe easy, my brother and I sure can't wait to get to where you are and hopefully I will be walking down the Heaven's Beach up there and hear a familiar voice from out of nowhere calling my name. "Hey, Drew!" and when I turn to look and try to find out who this is that is calling me like you did down in Miami, I hope it will be you standing under the same Palm tree!!!!! MY MAN!!!! LOVE, MISS, and can't wait to get there with all of you all!!!!!

To your mom, dad, and kids I would like to say, count this along with everything else in your life as joy!! You will understand better and the, "get over" part may never leave but the acceptance is such a relief!

I am very sorry for your loss. I have experienced losses both anticipated and unexpected. When I was fifteen years old in my first year in high school, my mother died of melanoma at age 54 in December 2004; we were anticipating the loss. As with me, I am sure your loss is emotionally stressful for you and your family.

Your grief may ebb and flow. It has been said that each of us has this well deep inside of us that can be filled to the brim with grief. Every time we cry, we empty out some of the well. But the well fills again. The level of sorrow in your well may lessen as time passes, but it will never run dry. There will always be birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and those days when the well seems to fill to its brim again. Allow yourself time to remember and mourn. It is part of your healing. Grief is a continuing journey.

Once again, I am sorry for your loss. You and your family, will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

Darrin
You were truely loved by ALL. I will always remember growing up with you when we went to the country for the summer and as we got older we use to crash all the clubs down there. We had some good times together even though as we got older we went seperate directions but some how we managed to stay in contact with each other. I guess that's what happens when you have a loving family like we do. Cuz I will miss you!!! Love you always Dinky
