Although a little late, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to the entire Boast Family. Dave was truly a wonderful and sincere man, whose laughter and fun for living will be truly missed.
I always look forward to the big smile and big hug you get from Dave, but although no longer here, we can always cherish the memories we have of such a wonderful person whom I also called friend.
He memory will live on forever.

It was my privilege and pleasure working with Dave at UUNET. He gave our Provisioning group, as well as the entire DAN team, vision, support, and respect. It was always a challenge meeting Dave's expectations and we took pride in doing so. I extend my condolence to Dave's family.

To the Boast Family: I feel honored and privileged to have known and worked with Dave. He always took pride in his job and team. At Legent, he would prank in on the products lines to make sure that even the most disgruntle customers received 100% superior customer satisfaction. Myself and the other coordinator began to look forward
to his calls because he would come up with some pretty far fetch stories. I will never
forget his sense of humor or him walking with around with his Louisville slugger.

Kelly - I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm confident that without Dave's drive, UUNET wouldn't have been the company it was (is?). I can still see him in a meeting, holding that baseball bat and talking on his wireless headset.

My wife and I sincerely send our condolences for the abrupt life of Mr. Big Dave Boast. As an employee working with Dave during the Great UUNET days, he made being at work a challange. Dave displayed types of frustration when things were not going a certain way, however, His main character was cheerful and portraid a great deal of motivational power. Power enough that most of us under him enjoyed going the extra mile to get our work complete. In that aspect, he greatly rewarded everyone for their efforts. I am proud to say that I had the opportunity to know and work with him. My wife Catherine met him a couple times
while grocery shopping and mentioned that he was a very nice person.
We will miss you Dave and I know from where you are sitting, you have a better view of the CYBERSPACE you built.
Sincerely,
David & Catherine Locke
