David Forbes Obituary
DAVID ALLEN FORBES SR. (Age 77)
Of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at his home. David served in the U. S. Navy during Vietnam. He later worked for the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC up to the rank of Detective before retiring from MPD after 20 years of service. Then he worked with the Charles County Sheriff's Office. He is the son of the late Isaac and Helen Forbes. He is the husband of Carolann S. Forbes; father of Stephanie (Ryan), David (Catherine), Michael (Melissa), the late Sean and Shannen; grandfather of Charles, Henry, and Wilson; siblings Marsha Householder, Tom Forbes, and the late Margaret Binger. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Prayers at 6:30 p.m. at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions, in David's name, may be made to Hospice of Charles County, 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20603 or The Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland, 1730 Twin Springs Rd, Ste 200, Halethorpe, MD 21227
