DAVID METZLER Obituary
David C. Metzler, CPA (Age 67)
Of Annandale, VA died at home unexpectedly on Monday, June 25, 2018. David was born in Baltimore, MD and was the son of the late Louis and Dorothy (Morris) Metzler. He is survived by his brother, Paul Metzler wife, Sue of CO, John Metzler of Baltimore, MD and Matthew Metzler, wife, Hella of Hampstead, MD; uncle of Christopher Metzler of (CO), Shawn Metzler (CO), Timothy Metzler (SC), Julie Metzler (MD), Erika Metzler (CA), Adam Metzler (MD). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28 at Normandie Farm in Potomac, MD. Gathering at 1:30 p.m., Service at 2 p.m., reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Autubon Society.

I was very sad to learn of David's passing. He was my accountant and friend for more than 20 years, and I shall miss him, his sense of humor, and his paintings.

I am so sad to learn of Dave's passing. For 18 years I looked forward to our annual meeting when I updated him on our small business and heard his funny stories that always illustrated a good point. Dave was very supportive of small business owners and a warm and kind person. I will miss him very much.

We just learned of David's very untimely death. This is especially hard to believe because he so enjoyed life, always had funny and interesting stories to tell. We will miss him very much. Our deepest sympathies to his family.

We are sad to lose our neighbor, David. He was always pleasant, with a friendly smile and wave every morning when he picked up his newspaper. We miss him. May he rest in peace.

I loved David as My CPA for 10 years thru the present and as a loving caring friend for the past 5 years. He was a wonderful man with many interests, loved his family, for whom I send my great sympathy for their loss of a very special person, and loved his work as well which he performed with great diligence and competence.

To the Metzler family, I am saddened by the sudden loss of Dave, who worked with our firm not too long ago. Dave was a very thoughtful man, with determination, who did very well in his life and career. I am sorry he was taken too soon from us.

We are so sorry for your loss. Frank knew David from the old neighborhood and David and I were friends at UMBC. I remember his keen sense of humor and great smile.
