DAVID MILES Obituary

DAVID ALLEN MILES
David Allen Miles, born December 4, 1943, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Holy Cross Hospital near his home in Silver Spring, Maryland due to complications arising from multiple myeloma. David was born in the State of New York, to Robert Miles and Muriel Carter, and shared his father''s birthday. He was a three-sport athlete in high school before serving as a medic with the Army. After moving to Washington, DC to work at the Vitro printing company in Bethesda, David married the love of his life, Carol Ann Miles with whom he remained a faithful, dedicated and loving husband to his last day. He was the youngest of four boys and is survived by his brother Bill who lives in Atlanta, Georgia. His brothers Harold from West Virginia and Robert from Oregon are deceased. The viewing will be from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, January 18 at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD. His interment will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19 at Parklawn Memorial Park, 12800 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD. Though Dave did not graduate from Northwood High School, he spent countless hours of time helping to plan reunions to support his wife''s Northwood class. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Humane Society of Montgomery County, 601 S Stonestreet Ave., Rockville, MD 20850, whom David and his wife supported throughout their marriage.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Dave, you will be missed, and I pray that you are now with Carol, and you both are at peace now. I still miss Carol and I am so sorry you had to suffer with the pain. I like to think you are in a better place now, and with Carol, so you are both smiling forever.

Dave, you will be missed by many people. At least, you are free of pain now. There is no easy answer on how to cope with your loss.
It lwas only four months ago that we all had to face the loss of Carol which we are still dealing with today.

What will see us through is knowing that you and Carol are together again now and forever as it should be. Hugs to you and Carol.

Dear Dave...Brent and I have had a special journey with you.
first with our sweet carol's loss of life. Together we mourned.
Then we tried to care and comfort you -- seems so very unfair that you then went through so much physical pain and emotional pain. We know what you wanted most was to be with Carol -- now we pray that you are in her arms and you both can rest in peace -- we will always remember you both...now we know we have two more angels in heaven looking over their friends and family.
