I was shocked to learn of Dave's passing. I served with him in my first reserve assignment at the 459th MAW at Andrews AFB MD. Dave was a great mentor, and had a great sense of humor that helped us get through the first long days of gearing up for the last war in Iraq. As someone else mentioned - Dave was one of the GOOD guys.

What can I say about my "3rd brother"? His encourgement, support and love (he'd choke on that word to me!) was so special - there is a hole in my heart now. You both became family to me in VA - I will never forget the good times. God bless you and David's family. Maggie

Susan,
It was an honor to have had the opportunity to work with David for such a short 2 hours. I was absolutely amazed that he, although suffering, still wanted to learn to access his computer without sight. I still smile! and recall his sense of humor especially when he said that a good use for a white cane would be for attitude control! LOL! He is one of the most dynamic individuals I've ever encountered. Thank you and may god Bless and comfort you and your family.

Mrs. Mulgrew: I first had the opportunity to first "meet" Dave when he called to "warn" us that Robert Suttle was coming to work for us. He always referred to Robert as ODW and this became a standing joke around here. He had a terrific sense of humor and will be missed. I wish you and your children wonderful memories to cherish the rest of your life.
