David Potter Obituary

David Richard Potter, 81 of Manassas, VA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Winchester, VA.
David was born in 1944 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of the late Lloyd and Carol Potter. David served our country in the United States Army as a Private First Class. He was a high school graduate who attended Alabama and Iowa State Universities. David retired from the Department of Defense. He was on the elections board ad was a master gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette "Jean" Potter whom he married on October 19, 1990; stepdaughters, Cindy Dickerson of Winchester, VA, Joy Dickerson of Winchester, VA; stepsons, Norman Eugene Dickerson of Winchester, VA; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Sue Klascius, Robert Louis Dickerson; seven step- great grandchildren, his brother, Steven Potter (Kathleen) of St. Louis, MO and his beloved canine companion Bella.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his stepson, Daniel Louis Dickerson.
Services for David will be private.
