Dr. Weisbrod was my instructor at Pratt-SILS. It was he who introduced me to the important mathematical concepts of Claude Shannon and the information theory derived from Shannon´s research.
It was he who introduced me to the General Systems Theory of Ludwig Von Bertalaniffy, along with insight as how both concepts may find application in financial markets.
Among the many instructors I have had in my academic career, Dr. Weisbrod stands out among a handful of educators that have had an extraordinary impact on my intellectual growth. Therefore, it is with great sadness that I mark the passing of a truly great educator.
