Debra is survived by her loving husband, Vernon Fitzgerald Cooper, only child, son, Ross Carraway Cooper, parents, Evelyn and Thomas Henry, and many loving family and friends.Having grown up in Washington, DC, Debra attended school in her home parish of St. Frances De Sales and transferred to Immaculata Dunblane for sixth to eighth grades. She matriculated at the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a B.A. in 1984. Debra attended medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, graduating in 1990. Dr. Henry returned to Washington, DC after medical school to complete her residency in Psychiatry at St. Elizabeths Hospital. I am so very sad to hear of Debra´s passing. I had the benefit of knowing and collaborating with her on at least one of her community projects to better the lives of children. She was so bright but also kind and giving. Sending warm condolences to her family.

Dr. Henry was an exceptional woman who touched so many lives as a member and often leader in multiple groups and organizations. As a colleague, friend and fellow psychiatrist, I knew her best as a gifted clinician and consummate professional. I have been fortunate to witness the way in which she made a life changing impact for so many. Though her loss will be felt profoundly, she left a lasting legacy among those she treated and worked with. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

Sending my deepest condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Henry, Vernon, Ross, and the rest of Debbie's family. Debbie was my first -- and best -- friend in college. I will always cherish the times we spent together during our three years as roommates. We shared laughter, good food, deep conversations, and we leaned on each other when things got challenging. I know she touched a lot of lives and will be remembered by many. She always spoke of her husband and son with love, gratitude, and pride, and she was a devoted daughter to her wonderful parents. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Debra has certainly made good use of her time during her mortal life.
What an accomplished woman: a smart, talented and generous spirit who will keep on giving beyond the veil, I am certain.
For those of us who have been left in her wake, none can feel that vacuum more than her parents, family, husband and son.
While this loss is most tragic, the grief so profound, she lives.
The resurrection of our Lord and Savior has made that possible for each and every one of us.
She may appear in dreams, or send messages via memories, but she is alive.
Families are eternal.
Debra is progressing in another dimension. We all know that. I hope it brings some solace to those who suffer this extremely difficult adjustment.
Debra is still moving forward.
Let us give thanks to God that we will have our loved ones in the eternities for ever and ever.
Until we meet again, rest in peace, Debra.
My prayers for peace and healing to Debra's family.
God Bless us all.

What an amazing woman and phenomenal mother. I was honored to have had the opportunity to work with her to support Ross as he thrived through high school. I will treasure the memories of our meetings (Momma pow wows), and send my sincere condolences to your entire family. May her legacy be a light in this time of darkness.
