Denise was a mentor. She was a role model, a strong woman of principles who was not afraid to speak her mind, but more importantly put her words into action. I admired her courage, her strength and feel sick inside that I didn't let her know the impact she had on me. I extend heartfelt sympathies to her husband & family.

To the Family,
Denise was thoughtful and caring. Her concern for my children and me after the passing of my husband meant so much to us. My prayers go out to you all. Lean and depend on each other, but most of all, depend on the Lord for comfort and strength.

To Denise's dear family and friends,
I was so fortunate to have had an opportunity to know Denise. I was so proud of her when she was promoted to supervisor when she was a probation officer on my team. After that, she kept moving up. Denise cared about people, was so committed to make the world a better place for everyone, and her joy, hard work, and love for her personal growth were so evident. She was a hit at my 40th birthday party; we all loved her sense of humor and interest in my guests. May she rest in peace.
Love, Nina Blendman

Dear Lansen, Monica, Ingrid and members of Denise's family:
I am absolutely floored to learn of Denise's passing. She was my running partner during graduate school at Howard University. She got me through Howard's B School. She was my traveling partner to Trinidad and Puerto Rico. I attended the best Christmas parties with her at Superior Court...I knew her colleagues who loved her. She and I argued about being born again and she was baptized at Metropolitan Baptist Church where we both attended and where I am a servant leader. She loved God, she loved her family and she was a true friend. I can still see in my mind the picture of Denise on her wedding day...how beautiful she looked. Oh my goodness, my heart reaches out to you at this time. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Please allow the Holy Spirit of God to comfort you all. Blessings, Millicent Gorham

During her journey, Denise touched the lives of many individuals. I am just one of many at the DC Superior Court who came to respect her as a fellow co-worker and love her as a sister and a friend. Our prayers are with the Robinson family.

To the Family of Denise Robinson:
Please accept our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. Denise was a wonderful person who made everyone she touched feel extremely special. She possessed a perfect smile with eyes that illuminated your heart and soul.
We felt privileged to share her time and love of hand dance. One great pleasure was having the opportunity to assist in a hand dance party at Kilis Kafe in Washington, DC in celebration of her life.
This is one of many happy memories of Denise’s loving nature that we cherish and hope will provide comfort to you.
Fondly,
Cecile Coleman
